Tournament Information
Draws, playing lists and results will be displayed on this webpage (in the section "Draws & Results") and on screens at the venue. The draw will be published on Thursday, 14 March 2013 around 11:00 am.
Refereeing
Both players are referees for the next match on the court they have played on!!! Please pick up the referee-sheets from the tournament-desk immediately after your match. If you do not take it in time, you will be sanctioned!!!
The name/result tag has to be displayed at the court! Please note the result after each game! After the match both referees are responsible for bringing back the name tag and the referee-sheet to the tournament desk.
Please leave the ball on court!
Shuttle Service
There is a shuttle bus between ACOM Hotel – Alpha Hotel - Sportpark Nord every 30 minutes from Friday to Sunday. Please consult the shuttle service schedule at the venue and at the hotel. At ACOM the bus stops outside at the bus station. The bus is marked with German Junior Open.
Practise
There is no official practice on Thursday, 14 March 2013. Courts will be sold to the public on Thursday. There will not be free courts from 18:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs. If you want to get practise on Thursday just go there and you are allowed to use free courts (ask at the reception and tell them that you are a participant for the German Junior Open 2013). If you want to get a fixed time you may ring the center (+49-911-9564030) book and pay for the court.
As the shuttle service on Thursday will be only used for the transport of players from the airport and from the main station there is no shuttle service for practice. But from Hotel ACOM (1) you can use the underground U2. It is just 2 stations or 3 minutes from ACOM to the venue (3). At ACOM you enter U2 at station “Nordostbahnhof” and go to station “Ziegelstein” (direction “Flughafen” = airport). From station “Ziegelstein” it is about 700 m walk to the venue.

For the first time in the history of the German Junior Open players from New Zealand a nd Japan (Tamaki Marumo; photo left) are going to participate in the tournament, which is going to be hosted from 15 to 17 March 2013 in the Sportpark Nord in Nuremberg. These countries are new on the multi-national list of participants of the GJO. "This is again prooving the great appeal of the German Junior Open to the global Squash family and we are very much looking forward to these players to participate in our event", stated Rudi Rohrmüller, Sports Director of the German Squash Federation, on these news.
The German Junior Open are recognised as ESF Super Series Tournament and are also classified as WSF World Ranking Tournament (boys and girls u19), WSA Rising Star (girls u19) and PSA Closed Satellite Junior Event, there can be no higher level of Junior Squash in Germany". |
